The study of the Nine Temperaments is called the Enneagram and is described in the free ebook listed above. The Enneagram types (Temperaments) are not made up of lists of character traits, but are founded in a person's core values. Each Temperament represents what that person considers something very important to their life such as power, security, harmony, knowledge, fulfillment, i.e.
Your Temperament enables you to make a valuable contributions to your life; but it also causes you to neglect other values, creating a psychological ‘blind spot” for you.
This is why, if you:
“KEEP DOING WHAT YOU BEEN DOING, YOU WILL CONTINUE TO GET WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GETTING.”

1. Not Committed in Achieving Success
This is one of the most critical success factors. Often, you can hear people say that they want to achieve this and they want to achieve that, but you will never see them putting commitment into what they want. They are just saying without putting any real effort into making their dreams and goals come true. A lot of people say that they want to be rich, but they never take the necessary action to make their goal come true. All they do is after they said this; they keep on watching television, chatting on MSN, as if success will come to them automatically. If you are not committed to succeed, you will never achieve it.

2. The Lack of Determination
Another critical success factor is the lack of determination will not bring you what you want. Many times, people are afraid whether they can achieve what they want in their life. They will question themselves like "what if I can't achieve it?" "What if the economy has been down and it drags down my business?" All of these are nothing but the lack of determination. These are just the false assumptions that you make, they are the negative beliefs that you generated in your mind.
The moment you are unsure about something, you will start to lose the confident. And once you lost your confidence, you will shake your beliefs, which after that will affect every decision you make and hence everything you do in your life. You start to hold negative beliefs in your mind. So build up the determination by finding the reason for you to achieve success in your life. Why did you want to be successful in the first place? If your reason is strong enough, nothing can ever stop you. 3. Procrastination and No Real Action This is a common one. I believe that you have come across people who set high goals, but they procrastinate and did not achieve what they want in the end. Maybe you too are one of them. It is common for people to procrastinate. Success will not come without putting any real effort; success will not fall from sky. If you desire for success, then you must put in action to make it come. There are a lot of reasons why people procrastinate, but it can be solved by one thing, that is by strengthening the reason why you want to achieve your goal so much. Whenever your goals become a must for you, you will do whatever it takes to achieve it. This is why successful people succeed, because it is a must for them, they know it very clearly why they must achieve what they want. So do you know what you want in your life and why you want it so much? I believe that once you have gone through all the critical success factors above, you will see that every of the factors are because of your own self. Meaning to say, in order to achieve the success you desire for, you must start from yourself. You must learn to master your inner self before you can achieve whatever you want in your life. And this often starts from your mind. So you see, your mindset plays an important role, it is the main critical success factor in your life! Therefore, learn to master yourself if you really committed to achieve the success your desire. When dealing with a same problem, 2 people can come up with totally different solutions, this is because we all have different mindset. And if you want to master the successful mindset, then model what successful people did. Always remember, to achieve what you want in your life, you must be committed, have the determination and take massive action to make it come true. These are the critical success factors you must cope with.

Why aren’t all people with a given Temperament Type successful?
You probably know a bunch of people with the same Temperament Type. Why are some successful and others are not. Why the difference? The difference is Emotional Intelligence. We use Emotional Quotient. (EQ) as a shorthand to describe Emotional Intelligence.
A person may have a high IQ. They did well in school, maybe have a college diploma or even an advanced degree. They may even be in MENSA, the select high-IQ club and still fail in business and relationships. Why are they not successful?
The answer:
Your IQ determines 20 % of your success, which leaves 80% to other forces. This is stated by Daniel Goleman the Author of “Emotional Intelligence.”
A person with a high IQ does not mean they know how to manage their thoughts and feelings any more successfully than a person with a low IQ. Success requires taking the emotional data, making sense of that data, and integrating it into your decision-making. People with higher EQ does this better.
By increasing your EQ you can use your thoughts and emotions of your Temperament Type to make the best possible decisions. Increased EQ help you get optimal results from your relationships with yourself and others.
EQ challenges the conventional belief that emotions are in the way of good decisions. By increasing your EQ it is possible to learn how to use your emotions to make better decisions. By increasing your EQ, it is possible to increase your wisdom and energy required for high performance. The Increasing your EQ is a teachable life skill. If people get better at these life skills, everyone benefits: The brain doesn't distinguish between being a more empathetic manager and a more empathetic father
