"Understanding Emotional Intelligence in Six Seconds."

Inside Change: Transforming Your Organization with Emotional Intelligence
by Joshua Freedman, Massimiliano Ghini, MBA

Many times the books on leadership focused on systems, management, etc., not taking into account the complex (and powerful!) system of our emotions. Josh Freedman integrate much of the new neuroscience with a comprehensive look and analysis of how people can make successful change by honoring the people involved, integrating emotional intelligence skills, in conjunction with keen business sense.

There is so much to offer in this book, it is like reading an"Operational Manual" in each chapter. This is a must read for those who are looking for ways to change, starting from the inside!

The above video is the results of a team of educators ,versed in an experiential approach to learning that's both joyful and meaningful, wanted to be sure their organization maintained a commitment to distilling big ideas into bite-sized pieces.

The research says it takes around six seconds for those molecules of emotion to get absorbed back into your body after you've had a reaction. For someone to recognize the feeling of compassion -- and it was around six seconds.

Thus, Joshua Freedman's organization was named "Six Seconds"

It takes six seconds to manage anger.
It takes six seconds to create compassion.
It takes six seconds to change the world.

There is science behind the name and the flood that is triggered, delivered, and absorbed in about six seconds of even emotion.

Positive thinking to live presently
Cristina Diaz Garcia

Although we exist in the present, many of us don't always live here and now.

Our mind is so used to think about the past, about things that cannot be changed; or it flies into the future, creating fears and worries and infinite hypothetical situations of any kind.

When our mind comes into place then we worry, or we feel frustrated because we think "things should/shouldn't be this way". When our mind takes over and starts thinking about stuff any other than what is currently happening, we miss out on life.

Full life is right here, right now.

Create positive thoughts and decide to live in the present. All is well, here and now. You are complete and full by yourself. In fact, you don't need anything or anyone else right now, or you ever did.

The moment you understand that, you'll find that a whole world of opportunities and possibilities opens before you. Keep yourself positive, feed your mind with positive thoughts, learn to deal with negative thoughts and to just drop it all, just like that.

Choose to live in the present courageously, since you only have to win. You can keep yourself balanced and positive through positive thinking activities, positive affirmations and positive thinking books.

Live happily, live here, live now.
