"General Symptoms Of Depression , Fours Feel that, They have a secret self that no one knows"

The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram: Nine Faces of the Soul
by Sandra Maitri

Sandra Maitri's "The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram" is, without doubt, the most insightful and meaningful book on the nine temperaments, but caution potential readers that this is not a "beach read" and is best suited as reading for those who are seriously ready to take a deeper look at their own psycho-spiritual essence and soul. This is not a pop-psychology "personality typing" book, but rather a valuable guide for people on their journey of self-discovery, transformation and self-realization.

The book DOES touch on the Nine Temperaments of the enneagram in the personality type" context most people know it, and it covers the psychological aspects of the different types. The majority of "The Spiritual Dimension of the Enneagram" is dedicated to a thorough discussion of each of the nine temperaments, examining the way each has "lost touch" with its essence or "Holy Idea;" describing the psychological and environmental circumstances for these losses, and then offering guidance on how to recover the part of the self that has been lost.

The term "sprituality" by no means makes this a "religious" book. Instead, it is a book about understanding and healing our souls, regardless of religious orientation.

The Enneagram types (Temperaments) are not made up of lists of character traits, but are founded in a person's core values. Each Temperament represents what that person considers something very important to their life such as power, security, harmony, knowledge, fulfillment, i.e.

Your Temperament enables you to make a valuable contributions to your life; but it also causes you to neglect other values, creating a psychological ‘blind spot” for you.

This is why, if you:

“KEEP DOING WHAT YOU BEEN DOING, YOU WILL CONTINUE TO GET WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GETTING.”

Causes And General Symptoms Of Depression
Andrew Henry

Once the causes and the general symptoms of depression are identified, it can be treated successfully by administering the right kind of treatment and medication.

Psychotherapy is one of the most popular practices in medical sciences that are used to treat depression patients. Through cognitive behavior therapy, the doctor develops a healthy interaction with the patient and helps him overcome the events that attribute to his depressive mood. When the problem of depression is quite severe, a combination of medication and psychotherapy is administered. Drugs used in combating depression do so by assisting serotonin and noradrenalin so that they execute their task more effectively in the brain.

As stated above, the causes and general symptoms of depression are many. The stages of depression are diagnosed by doctors to give the best possible treatment. Among the different types of depression, unipolar depression is the most common form of depression, as the patient is not only depressed but manic-depressive. Bipolar Affective disorder is characterized by depressive and manic phases. People falling into this category usually exhibit enormous capacity to work for long hours without getting exhausted. The third type of depression is winter depression, which is usually associated with seasonal changes. It lasts up to five or six months and goes away with the coming of spring. Winter depression is usually characterized by lack of physical energy.

Identify The Symptoms
It is quite natural that you will feel low sometimes. But this is not depression. When this feeling persists for long and you have a pronounced lack of interest in any form of physical activities, then you are into depression. There is a tendency to withdraw from the external world and a significant loss of appetite and loss of weight. In extreme conditions, there are obsessive thoughts about death, suicidal tendencies, and even suicidal attempts.
It is very necessary that these causes and general symptoms of depression must be identified at an early stage. If ignored, it can only worsen a person's mental and physical abilities. It is extremely necessary to help a depression patient to come out of his or her low self-esteem and get back into a normal course of activities. In all, depression is not only a condition of the mind. It takes place as a result of the overall physical changes in the body, which affects the brain as well.
